This project was the first major endeavor we had the pleasure of undertaking for Gainesville Sun in Gainesville, Florida. 
 
The design for this site was the realization of a concept we had been developing in our heads for quite some time. We took a stab at the design it happened to work quite well with the layout of the site. We didn't get deeply involved with the programming for this project, other than the Classifieds and Marketplace-related pages, but it was still fun participating in the creation of this highly popular site.

One new innovation we developed for this site was a new style of banner ad called "PIP Plus+", which was a big hit. It's a highly interactive type of ad that takes the client's print ad running in the physical newspaper and lets it work on the Internet in an almost identical manner. These ads appear on all of the article pages throughout the site. Check them out!
